The death has occurred of DANIEL (DAN) DUNNE Ballinorig Close, Tralee and Anamore, Castleisland.

Dan Dunne worked in McElligott’s Bakery as a baker during the height of the popularity of local bakeries throughout Castleisland. From the Powell’s Road area originally, he and his wife, Sheila moved into town in the early 1970s and bought a house on Riverside Drive. He was a regular visitor to Castleisland after moving to Tralee and visited especially for the annual coursing meetings. May God be good to him.

The RIP.IE arrangements are as follows:

Late of Anamore, Powell’s Road, Castleisland. Deeply regretted by his loving son Ivor, granddaughter Jennifer, sister Bridie, daughter-in-law Leyla, nephew John, niece Elizabeth, grandnephews, grandnieces and great-grandniece, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Mc Elligott’s Funeral Home, Tralee, on Thursday evening from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, followed by removal at 6.30pm to St. John the Baptist Parish Church, Tralee. Requiem Mass on Friday at 10am, followed by burial in New Rath Cemetery.
