The Strictly Come Dancing poster with all the promise of a great night’s entertainment.

A school, a club, a cast of local and imported nobility, ballroom cases, a posh poster and posher venue and a date in mid May.
Boiled down you’re looking at Castleisland’s adaptation of Strictly Come Dancing.
It’s all in the name of good fun and genuine causes with high expectations of great dancing and hilarity on the night.
There is already a list of male associated injury worries which reflect the average age of the participants.
Tight shoes, dead legs, ingrown toenails, trapped nerves and slipped discs are all in for either consideration or opt out excuses.
Meanwhile, the females involved have reported a clean bill of health.
Desmonds Ladies GAA Club and Muire Gan Smál Presentation Primary School are joining forces for this fundraiser. It’s all happening on the ballroom floor at the River Island Hotel on Friday May 15th at 8pm. Tickets are €15 each and are limited.
The partnerships include: Pa White and Elaine Doody; Ellen Lynch and Cllr. Danny Healy Rae; Norielle O’Leary and Peter Browne; Nora Fealey and Paddy White; Elaine Guiney and Tom McGoldrick; Sheila Kerley and Cllr. Bobby O’Connell; Sinéad Long and Joe Walsh; Maria Moriarty and Pádraig Murphy.
After the Ball is Over, DJ, Fergal will take over and the disco will continue until late. Tickets are available from: Muire Gan Smal Presentation Primary School; Vincent Murphy’s Sports Shop or the River Island Hotel.
