Fleadh by the Feale to Turn 21over May Weekend

Abbeyfeale’s Fleadh by the Feale celebrates its 21st anniversary this weekend. It will do so with a menu of great music throughout the five days which kick off on this Thursday, April 30th and and runs until Monday, May 4th.
“With a weekend full of music, song and dance it is a vibrant and wonderful traditional Irish music weekend. Abbeyfeale town extends a warm welcome to all to join us for what promises to be a great weekend. With a full calendar of events from the famous ‘Busking Competition’ on Friday evening at 7pm. – to the master workshops for musicians seeking to fine tune their skills in a range of instruments. These will include: Fiddle, Flute, Accordion, Concertina, Banjo and Singing,” according to festival spokesperson, Dervala Conlon-Ahern.
Gig-Rig in The Square
Open air entertainment will be  available all through the weekend on the gig rig in The Square and music session will be ‘live’ in most of the pubs in town.

There will be a Storytelling session in St Ita’s Hall with the gifted and entertaining Daisy Kearney at 3pm on Sunday.
The All Ireland Bone Playing competitions for junior and senior takes place on Sunday afternoon and Monday evening respectively.
The Celebrity Concert in sponsored by Kostal Ireland and it is brings the iconic Kilfenora Céilí Band to town on Sunday evening at 8pm in Coláiste Íde & Iosef.
