Sixth Class Gaelscoil Pupils Enjoy Final Tour Together

Sixth class students from Gaelscoil Aogáin travelled to Belfast and Dublin on their final school tour together as a class. The students were accompanied by teachers and parents on the educational, enjoyable and packed tour. Secretary, Bríd Kenny kept tabs on the tour and sent the following report and pictures:
“There was great excitement amongst pupils, teachers and parents as we set off on a Thursday morning in late April at the very early hour of 6am!
Our first outing was to the beautiful Titanic Museum in Belfast. There, we partook in an excellent, interactive tour – which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
While in Belfast we also visited the W5 Science Odyssey – where the children rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in on a mechanics workshop.
After an overnight stay in Dublin, refreshed and ready for another day of adventure,  we set off for the Aviva Stadium.
The students are big rugby fans and were very enthusiastic about getting a tour around the stadium, visiting the dressing rooms, conference room and media room.
Our final destination was U.C.D where we had the privilege of being the first ever primary school to get a guided tour of the campus.
It is safe to say we had a very satisfied but exhausted sixth class on the bus home to Castleisland that evening,” said Ms. Kenny.
