The photograph on the left shows fifth year students from St. Patrick’s Secondary School, Castleisland being presented with their school bank awards form Bank of Ireland this week.
The students set up and run a school bank for their peers during the school year in association with the staff of the Bank of Ireland, Castleisland branch.
“This was a very worthwhile learning experience for the students as each had their own role and responsibilities within the school bank.

All positions within the bank were assigned following an application process followed by an interview which introduced the students to standard practise in the workplace,” said principal, Denis O’Donovan.
