The death has occurred of John O’Keeffe, Greenville, Listowel and Waterford.
John O’Keeffe, of Greenville, Listowel and late of Waterford. Deeply regretted by his wife Frances, nee Buckley, daughter Edel, sons Eamon and David, relatives and friends. Rest in Peace.
The late Mr. O’Keeffe was well known to many in Castleisland as he worked up to his recent retirement as a butcher with Jerome Stack at Upper Main Street.
In his adopted town of Listowel, John was involved in several voluntary bodies there and was a great hand at organising events and arranging media coverage for them. May God be good to him.
Reposed at O’Carroll’s Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5pm to 7pm, followed by removal at 7pm to St Mary’s Church. Requiem Mass for John O’Keeffe will take place this Wednesday at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in St Michael’s Cemetery, Listowel. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Arus Mhuire Nursing Home, Listowel.
