Met Eireann and Kerry County Council Issue Weather Warning

Weather Alert:  Met Eireann has issued a Code Level Orange Weather warning as follows:-
Heavy incessant falls of rain occurring overnight Thursday and on Friday. Significant totals, leading to spot flooding and treacherous driving conditions. 45 to 75mm possible, highest totals for higher ground.
As a precautionary measure Kerry County Council has put the following measures in place
• All areas with a history of flooding and known to have been seriously impacted by flooding in the past are being are examined to ensure that drainage systems on the road network are operating properly.

• Roads crews will be on standby to deal will any flooding emergencies that may arise.

• Property owners, particularly in areas that may have been prone to flooding damage in the past are advised to take appropriate measures to minimise the risk of damage to their property.
