Ballybunion based lifestyle store, East 73rd has expanded with a newly opened outlet at No. 37 Main St., Castleisland. Located in the premises which has been known for generations as Molly’s Corner – and probably always will, the shop fronts onto two streets, Main Street and Church Street.
Opened on Thursday November 26th, East 73rd proprietor, Sarah Blake is looking forward to offering good quality, affordable fashion to customers in Castleisland – The Fashion Capital of Kerry and the surrounding areas.
You can also shop online through their website www.east73rd.ie 24/7 and the store offers free postage within Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Founded in 2011

East 73rd was founded in 2011 by Ms. Blake upon returning to Ballybunion from London. After starting out as a srtictly online business, East 73rd opened a store in Ballybunion in April 2013 and their newly opened Castleisland store is an expansion of the business.

Not a stranger to Castleisland, Sarah’s grandfather Sean Kerins was originally from Cordal but left in the 1950’s like many others and began a new life in Huddersfield in the UK where he met his wife Sadie from Ballybunion.
And although they settled in Huddersfield, summer holidays were always spent visiting Ballybunion and Castleisland with two of their three children settling down in Ballybunion in the 1980’s.

Opened in Castleisland just in time for the busy Christmas season, East 73rd plans to reorganise the store in the New Year and this will create extra space to allow room for more clothing, etc.
“Due to it being late in the season, the availability of stock from the brands we carry isn’t as plentiful as it would be at the start of a season, so please bear with us while we get all these teething problems straightened out after Christmas,” said Sarah.

New Occasion Wear
“We will also be sourcing a new occasion wear label for the Castleisland store in the New Year, along with expanding the current offering of clothing, gifts and jewellery.
“We hope you like what you see so far and we look forward to getting the store right so it is a true reflection of what East 73rd is about,” said Sarah.
Opening hours for the Castleisland store will be Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm and it will be closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays. The store can be contacted by calling 066 71 41687 by e-mail: info@east73rd.ie or on Facebook. The website can be accessed with a click on the link here: www.east73rd.ie
