Needless to say, but moms and dads and nans and grand-dads, uncles and aunts, God-mothers and God-fathers, guardians and gatherings of cousins will all know it’s on.
The Bellecanto Stage School Christmas Show will be performed in the hall at An Riocht AC over two days this week.
There will be three performances only and the first show is on Tuesday evening, December 22nd at 5.30pm and there will be two shows on Wednesday 23rd at 5pm and 7pm.

Working Hard
Teachers, Ailish Walsh and Bríd Mills and their little pupils have been working hard on the shows for the past couple of months and preparations have intensified over the final few weeks.
Costumes have all been selected and tried on and adjusted and now they’re ready to face their audiences.
The area has been awash with manifestations of talent over the past week and sell-out shows are the order of day and night as all the schools in the area put their finest theatrical feet forward.

Good luck to all the little Bellecanto players as they make their stage debuts on Tuesday and Wednesday – for three shows only.

Carol Service on Monday Night

Not entirely unrelated: The wonderfully dedicated Parish Choir – which is made up of the grown-up in the community – will stage the annual Carol Service at the Church of Saints Stephen and John on this Monday night, December 21st at 7.30pm.
“Proceeds, which will be gathered through donations at the door on the night , will go to Glebe Lodge. We have received many compliments over the past year on the quality of our warbling with people coming especially to hear us from outside the parish as well as our local community,” said choir spokesperson Mary Walsh.
“The choir will be performing all the well known carols as well as some lesser known and unusual ones with some beautiful harmonies and solo performances from choir members.

Spread the Word
“A full church makes the occasion and we’re hoping for a big crowd on the night. We are asking people to spread the word as we’re often told ‘We never knew it was on. We’re sorry to have missed it.’
“So, bring along the family, a friend or visitors. A cushion might be handy but the performance should last only an hour at most. Put the Monday 21st in the diary and don’t be lamenting the fact that your missed a great night! Christmas Cracker Talent Show 2015,” Mary concluded.
