The 150th running of the Castleisland Races will be held on Sunday, June 12th 2016 at Powell’s Road.
In the meantime, the committee has invited local charities to apply for the proceeds of the day at their earliest convenience.
The committee AGM – at which the charity allocations will be decided upon – will be held at Tom McCarthy’s Bar on Friday, February 5th at 8-30pm and all members are asked to attend.
In the course of the past ten years the committee has raised and paid over cheques totalling €119,200 to a wide range of local charities and they’re looking forward to adding to that total after the June 12th meeting later this year.
Charitable organisations are asked to apply in writing for available funding to: Ms. Kay Reidy, Castleisland Races Committee, Dulague, Castleisland, Co. Kerry for their case to be heard at the February 5th meeting.
