Tralee Credit Union Annual Schools Quiz 2016

It was a busy weekend for credit unions and for over 25,000 primary school children under the age of 13 who competed in their local credit union schools quiz in over 300 venues throughout the 32 counties.
The questions, compiled nationally by primary school teachers covered such general topics as geography, history, music, literature and sport. Tralee Credit Union held its Noreen Lynch annual Schools Quiz on Sunday in the Brandon Hotel Conference Centre, Tralee. This year, 164 students participated in the quiz and they represented 23 primary schools throughout Tralee, Castleisland, Killorglin and surrounding areas.
“We had great support again this year from all the schools who battled it out for the fun filled action packed two and a half hours. Our thanks to all the schools, students and their families and of course to Tralee Credit Union’s staff for making this event one of the biggest events on the school calendar,” said Suzanne Ennis, Marketing & Business Development Manager with Tralee Credit Union.
All the partisipating teams were presented with goody bags with the winning teams and their schools each receiving trophies and cash prizes. The first and second placed teams in both categories will now go on to represent Tralee Credit Union at the next stage of Credit Unions Schools Quiz.
“The Chapter round of the National Schools Quiz will be held on Sunday, February 28th at Ballyroe Heights Hotel.
“We wish all our winners: Listellick National School; Scoil Mhuire, Killorglin; Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn and Scoil Eoin, Balloonagh the very best of luck at the Chapter round,” said Ms. Ennis.
