Two Senior Infant pupils in Ballymacelligott’s Scoil Nuachabháil have qualified for this year’s Doodle 4 Google competition. They are Kyran Boyle and Jack Lynch.
Up to this point, three judges have chosen the qualifiers. It is now up to the public to vote for the shortlisted 75 doodles. There will be five group winners, one winner from each class group.
Both boys are very excited as they have already been invited to attend the prize giving event in the Google office in Dublin on March 7th.
Both Kyran and Jack are being congratulated on their achievements so far and it’s amazing to have two from the same school!
Group winners will receive a Chromebook, as will their teacher.
The overall winner will receive a €5,000 college scholarship and a €10,000 technology grant for their school! The public vote is open from Sunday February 7th to Sunday February 14th .

“We want to encourage as many people as possible to visit  the site below and vote. The voting process is very simple. But only one doodle per group can be voted for. They are both in Group 1.
“We wish them both the very best of luck, and with the support of their family, friends and community, one of them may return from Dublin with the Grand Prize! Please remember to vote,” said a spokesperson for the school. Voting is open until the coming Sunday, February 14th. Just think of what you could for the boys and their futures and for a rural primary school with your vote. To vote, please click on the link here: www.google.ie/doodle4google
