Kerry Macra Na Feirme will have a national title holder to boast of at its county-wide social on the eve of St. Patrick’s Day.
PRO Theresa O’Shea tells us that the Kerry Macra Na Feirme Social will be held at the Killarney Oaks Hotel on Wednesday, March 16th at 7-30pm.
Music will be by Uí Bhriain followed by a DJ till late and it promises to be a fantastic night – according to Theresa.
Kerry’s Queen of the Land entrant Christine Buckley of Killeentierna Macra na Feirme Club broke a long and barren spell for the county when she won the All-Ireland title at the WR Shaw Queen of the Land Festival in Tullamore last November.
The festival is a Macra na Feirme run event which celebrates the talents and achievements of its members. Featuring contestants from home and abroad, the festival runs over three days drawing Macra na Feirme members and non-members from all over the country to Tullamore for the weekend. The November festival marked the 51st year of the ‘Queen’ competition.
