Far off Hills back in Focus in Scart by Popular Demand

Popular Demand is an wonderful driver of local events and it has struck theatre life in Scartaglin for the second or third time in as many years.
“The Far Off Hills’ by Lennox Robinson has been a great success for us. The reaction of people has been fantastic. They are really enjoying it as it has a really good story and great humor,” said Sliabh Luachra Drama Group spokesperson, Moira O’Connor-Hughes.
“We had packed houses over the last six nights that were initially advertised and we did an extra show last Thursday night which was also sold out.

Two More Shows
“Because of demand we now have two further shows on Wednesday, March 2nd which is already sold out and on Thursday 3rd.
“This will be our ninth night on stage. The shows start at 8pm nightly and can be booked on 087 24 34 000. This will be our last night as we head for the West Limerick Festival in Knockaderry on Saturday March 5th.

“We would like to thank people for their fantastic support again this year, the media and our very generous sponsors,” Moira concluded.
