The tight knit world of traditional music has been saddened at the announcement earlier today of the passing of Scartaglin native and Anablaha resident, Nora McSweeney – née Duggan.
Nora was a daughter of the late and well known Scartaglin fiddle player, Mikey Duggan and his wife Margaret. May God be good to her.
The announcement and arrangements are as follows.
The death has occurred of Nora McSweeney (née Duggan) Anablaha, Killarney and formerly of Knockrour East, Scartaglin.
Beloved daughter of Margaret and the late Mikey. Very sadly missed and dearly loved by her heartbroken husband Pat and her loving children Padraig and Niamh, aunt Kathy, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and many friends. May She Rest In Peace.

Reposing at O’Shea’s Funeral Home, Cathedral Place, Killarney on Friday evening from 7pm to 9pm.
Removal at 9pm on Friday evening to Kilcummin Church. Requiem Mass on Saturday morning at 11am. Burial afterwards in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kilcummin.
