Kerry Gold for Mixed U-11 Community Games Team

Yet another local team of little heroes and heroines set forth on Sunday and played their hearts out for their team-mates, their club and their community. St. Mary’s Basketball Club Mixed U-11 team qualified at the weekend for the Munster championships in July in UL.
They had three group games and they overcame Kenmare, Fossa and a much fancied Gneeveguilla/Rathmore side on their way to the Kerry Gold.

They faced Duagh in the semi final and won by 20-7. They met Ballymacelligott in a hotly contested final which went down to the wire with Castleisland worthy winners on a score-line of 9-5.

The team includes: Eoghan Shire, Patrick O Shea, Ciara Casey, Tara Kerin, Amy Curtin
Blaithnaid Casey, Finn Nolan, Kian Downey, Rebecca Reidy and Christopher Devane. The team is coached by Tracey Hartnett and Conor Brosnan. They now go on to compete in the Munster finals on July 2nd in UL.
