Browne’s Bar Broadcast on Radio Kerry Tonight at 9pm

Seán Hurley RK
Seán Hurley – presenting Kerrywide with a strong Castleisland flavour tonight at 9pm on Radio Kerry.

A gushing gale of voices in conversation, in song and in story can be heard on Kerrywide on Radio Kerry tonight at 9pm.
RK’s Seán Hurley came a hunting for material on Tuesday night and based himself at Browne’s Bar on Main Street.
Noted for its now twice-weekly traditional music sessions, Browne’s played host to the recording in the relative privacy of the back bar and function room – when the need arises.
Voices from Castleisland will mingle with those of contributors from Cordal, Ballydesmond, Ballymacelligott, Knocknagoshel and Scartaglin and further afield.

You’ll hear Jerome O’Driscoll, Con and Julia O’Connor, Jimmy Cullinane, Tom Herlihy, Jim Lordan, Murt, Dick and Sheila Collins, Peter Browne, Nick Kerins, Marion and Tom O’Connor, Garry McCarthy and a flying visit and a song from doggy man of the year, Noel Browne.
The contributions were so good and so many that Mr. Hurley told host, Peter Browne that he would have enough material to make two programmes out of it all.
You can taste the first draft tonight at 9pm on Kerrywide on Radio Kerry and keep your ears back for the broadcast date of part two.
