North Kerry College of Further Education – formerly Listowel Community College – is the largest provider of Post-Leaving Certificate education in North Kerry and West Limerick.
The college provides a range of accredited courses at Level 5 and 6. The hairdressing department had a wonderful turnout for the launch of the state of the art centre of excellence on Tuesday, April 5th.
People from as far as Dingle, Killorglin, Limerick and all parts of Kerry were represented with a turnout of over 300 hundred on the night.
New Programme of Awards

Management and staff at the college are very thankful for the support of past, current and future employers and sponsors who were there on the night.
Over twenty hairdressers demonstrated their skills and amazing Avant Gard creations on over thirty models.
Range of Styles
The audience was treated to refreshments and viewing of Classic/ Vintage/ Bridal and Holy Communion styles, which was hugely enjoyed.
“It was an amazing event for all concerned and was a great event to showcase the skills of the current students with state of the art facilities,” said college hairdressing teacher, Michelle Roche.
Ongoing Development
“The establishment of SOLAS, the restructuring of the Further Education and Training Sector and ongoing developments at North Kerry College provides tremendous opportunities for development and expansion in the years ahead, “ said Principal Goulding as he looks forward to the development and further expansion of provisions at the college in the years ahead.
