The current Castleisland Tennis Club members are looking for interested players / members willing to become involved in forming a new committee and organising the running of the club.

“The tennis courts are a marvelous facilty and have been part of the sporting life of the town since 1966. They are are located adjacent to the pitch and putt course and the community centre,” according to Bernard ‘Rafa’ Tangney

“Duties involved would include arranging annual memberships, supervision of tournaments for jvenile members and working with club coach, John Hennessy on Saturdays for juvenile coaching in the summer months.
“The busiest time for activities is mostly from April to September each year. The existing committee members are really seeking people to revitalise the club with new ideas and initiatives and to put a proper structure to the facility,” said Bernard.

New members are always welcome and anyone interested in becoming involved is invited to contact either Jack Shanahan on 087 81 22 668 or Bernard Tangney On 087 68 68 191.
