St. Kierans V Dr. Crokes

St. Kieran’s put up a strong fight against Dr. Crokes for the second round of the Senior Football Championship last Saturday in Cordal GAA Club grounds. The excitement of the game was huge and St. Kieran’s scored an early goal giving them great momentum going into the match. The first half was very even leaving scores at 2-04 to 1-10 giving Dr. Crokes a one point lead. The second half was riveting stuff with an early goal for St. Kierans again in this half.

The tension was mighty and after a long battle to maintain the lead the whistle was blown leaving Dr. Crokes the overall victors of the day. The final score of the match was St. Kieran’s 3-12 to Dr. Croke’s 2-16. Well done to Dr. Crokes and hard luck to the St. Kieran’s team who put up a magnificent performance.
