There is an air of saddness and no little shock in the Castleisland area today at the announcement of the passing of three locals. You will have seen the announcement on the late Kitty Downey’s death earlier.
Kitty has been joined by Tess Jackman, RIP, formerly of Jackman’s Burcher’s Shop at 62 Main Street, Castleisland and another native, Michael ‘Mick’ Griffin, RIP, Tralee resident and formerly of Griffin’s Shop at 136 Upper Main Street, Castleisland.
Both Tess and Michael passed away suddenly yesterday and funeral arrangements will be announced later.
The sincere sympathies of the community here goes out to members of the three families concerned.
