Dan Paddy Andy Festival Launched at John B’s

Details of this year’s Dan Paddy Andy Festival were announced at a press launch and music night at John B Keane’s Bar in Listowel on Friday.

The special guest was Seán Ó Sé who officially launched the event and he was joined on the night by: Gabriel Fitzmaurice, Eoin Hand and Jim Malone.

Some great traditional music was provided by Sarah and Maurice O’Keeffe from Brosna.

The 19th Dan Paddy Andy Festival, featuring all the well established events, takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend starting on Friday night July 29th with Tim Joe and Ann O’Riordan playing for the Ceilí.

The Waltzing Competition has been moved to Sunday night and a new addition to the festival will be a Falconry display on the Bog Walk which starts at 11am on Bank Holiday Monday.
