I was back in 2005 there one day last week and I brought the attached photograph out here with me.
In the course of going through old negatives and photographs I have been finding and publishing them from time-to-time here on The Maine Valley Post.
It’s something that people enjoy and I’m occasionally encouraged by people to do more of it.
On this occasion I found a photograph of a presentation of a cheque by leaders and members of Scartaglin Youth Club at the heritage centre in the village in April of that year.
It is often a great source of surprise to me to find so many cheque presentations to various charities by such groups around the county. It just makes one wonder what kind of state our health service would be in without the generosity of the organisers and the subscribers.
