The death has occurred of Sheila Murphy (née O’Sullivan) Tullig, Castleisland and late of Ballyegan, Gortatlea.

On August 12th, 2016. Sheila died on Friday after being taken suddenly ill.

Beloved wife of the late Thady. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. R.I.P.

Sheila Murphy is one of the neighbours who populated my Tralee Road childhood. My outstanding memories of her and her husband Thady are of them cycling into town to the Astor Cinema to ‘the pictures’ on a pair of those small wheeled bicycles which were all the go back then.

Sheila was a very proud granny when her grand-daughter, Danielle Ybarra was the Texas Rose in the 2011 Rose of Tralee Festival.

May God be good to her.
