Leisure Cyclists Wanted For Day Care Fundraiser

Occasional cyclists would want to be oiling the chains and pumping the wheels as they and their ilk are being invited / recruited to take part in one of Castleisland’s most sociable occasions.

The annual Castleisland Day Care Centre Leisure Cycle is being organised in conjunction with Currow Cycling Club for Sunday morning, September 4th.

The cycle will start and finish at the centre on Creamery Lane. There is a sign-on time of 9am to 9.45am allocated and the start-out time is set at 10am.

Routes from 15K to 80K

There are three distances and routes to suit all abilities of cyclist: Route one is 15k; number two is 45k and number three is 80k long.

Registration fee is €20. Sponsorship cards are available from: Castleisland Day Care Centre; O’Sullivan’s Post Office, Currow and Murphy’s Sports Shop, Killarney Road.

Last year’s event raised the fine total of €8,371.00 for the highly regarded centre and it was organised in conjunction with Currow Cycling Club.
