Members of the Castleisland Hospice group Audrey O’Sullivan (left) with Chairman, Jack Shanahan and Eileen Murphy announce details of the National Hospice Coffee Morning which will be held on September 15th.

It’s Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning and, as they say about many other great events of its ilk, It’s coming to a Pop-Up Coffee Shop Near You.

The great annual Irish Hospice Foundation Coffee Morning is the major fundraiser for Hospice nationwide. Thursday, September 15th is the date set for this year’s event.

Fundraising Branch

The Castleisland fundraising branch of the Kerry Hospice Foundation will host a coffee morning in the former Tomo Burke Electrical premises on Lower Main Street – beside Hannon’s Fashion Shop.

The committee has also invited people to host an event in their own homes or businesses. Coffee and promotional material will be provided by the local branch.

A Worthy Cause

This is a very worthy cause and one of the main fundraisers in the locality for the Kerry Hospice Foundation each year.

There is flexibility around the event. If September 15th doesn’t suit you, then you can hold your event on another morning. Jack Shanahan will host a coffee morning on the 15th in his Haven Pharmacy at Garvey’s SuperValu.

The local branch is also putting out a request for assistance on the day so if you have a free hour please contact Catherine Horan on 087 62 75 995.

New In-Patient Unit

The members are also encouraging people to organise fundraisers for Hopsice as funds will be needed on an ongoing basis for building and running of the new in patient unit.

All funds raised locally will remain in Kerry.

For further details or to obtain your coffee morning pack please contact Jack Shanahan on 066 71 41225 from 9am-7pm or any other committee member.
