Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club’s senior men’s team travelled to Dingle on Sunday to play their last game in this year’s county league.

Report: Gerdie Murphy

Having secured their place in division 1 of the league this was a good workout for their up coming county intermediate semi final against Kenmare on September 25th.
They went in at half time leading by six points to five with points from: Maurice Hickey, Kieran Brennan,  Luke Lyons, Tomas Lynch and Barry Lynch.
In the second half Dingle upped the pace of the game through their Kerry players, Paul and Mikey Geaney and they took the lead as they also added a goal to their account.
Though Graham O’Connor and Barry Lynch scored two points, Desmonds came out second best in this game on the score of Dingle 1-12  Desmonds 0-9.
