Credit Union Launches Art Competition 2016

Calling all budding local artists ! You are invited to submit entries for this year’s Credit Union National Art Competition. The theme for this year’s competition is Dreams are Made of This – which is sure to allow the imagination run wild.

Now in its 33rd year, the competition attracts up to 30,000 entries through 300 credit unions nationwide and caters for all ages, with categories ranging from under seven to adults.

Closing Date Closing In

There is also a special category for those with physical or intellectual disabilities. The closing date is Friday October 28th, so get working on those masterpieces.

Entry form and competition rules are available on www.traleecu.ie.

Once completed, please drop your artwork to our offices in Tralee, Castleisland or Killorglin.

Regional and National Level

Winner, runners-up and merit awards winners at local level go on to represent the credit union at regional level and if successful, at national level.

Local winners will receive their prizes at a local prize giving ceremony.

Extremely Proud

“We are extremely proud to have two national winners in 2016, Enable Ireland Tralee and Elisha Buckley, Tralee, so the expectations are high,” said Siobhan Donnelly, marketing and development, Tralee Credit Union.

“We love working with young people through our Ellie Saving Makes Cents Saving Club, The Credit Union School Quiz and the Art Competition. Tralee Credit Union’s goal is to create a positive impact on the financial literacy of future generations in a fun and creative manner,” said Ms. Donnelly.
