Moyvane born and resident, Gabriel Fitzmaurice has issued an invitation to anyone fitting the description above to join him for a writing workshop on Monday, October 31st at 3pm in the function room in Crown Hotel.

The event, being held as part of the 24th annual Patrick O’Keeffe Traditional Music Festival here in Castleisland, is the latest contribution to festival affairs from the widely published poet and writer and retired national school teacher.

“Poets, Balladmakers, Rhymers! Enjoy a creative, stimulating poetry writing session. Bring your poems, recitations and ballads with you and we will discuss them at the workshop where everybody is invited to participate.

“If time permits, we will write new poems which some of the poets might present to the workshop. Everybody is welcome to what should be a fun occasion,” said Gabriel.
