Desmonds Seniors Bow Out But Juniors Contest NK Final Today

The Castleisland Desmonds GAA Club Junior Men’s team which won the County Division 2 League title when they defeated Ballydonoghue in Finuge in August. They face the same team today in Duagh. Desmonds senior men’s team season finished for 2016 last Sunday when they were defeated by St.Senan’s in the North Kerry Championship on the Score of 3-12 to 2-05.

This came was played in Listowel in front of a large crowd on a lovely sunny afternoon.

The Desmonds team was: Steven Bartlett, David Lynch, Maurice Lynch, Shane Walsh, Brian Leonard, Maurice Hickey, Tadgh O’Connell, Pat Fitzgerald, 0-1; Kieran Brennan, Sean Lynch, 1-0; Patrick Hickey, Sean Prendiville, Thomas Hickey, 1-4; Cian O’Connor, Tadgh Walsh. Subs: Ciaran Breen, Chris Brosnan, Pa White, Tomás Lynch.

Lotto Draw at Browne’s Bar

Last draw was held in Browne’s bar. The winning numbers were 1, 2, 9,18. There was no winner of the jackpot.

Lucky Dip winners: €30 to Pat Hartnett, Castleisland; €20 each to: Noreen O’Sullivan, Castleisland; Sharon Brosnan, Tullig; Domo Ó Ciardubháin, Cordal and Dan O’Sullivan, Galway.

Next draw is on Saturday, December 3rd in the Shoemaker’s with a jackpot of €2,400.

North Kerry Intermediate Final

The North Kerry Intermediate final v  Ballydonoghue will be played today, November 27th in Duagh at 1pm. This is the Ballydonoghue team which the same Desmonds team defeated to clinch the County Division 2 League title in Finuge at the end of August.
