There was a great occasion for members of the Castleisland U-16 District football team who won the county championship title by defeating Mid Kerry on October 2nd at Austin Stack Park.

They received their medals on Sunday night from Kerry Senior County Board Chairman, Tim Murphy at the River Island Hotel.

Desmonds AGM on January 8th

Castleisland Desmonds AGM takes place on Sunday, January 8th in the River Island Hotel at 7pm. Your support would be appreciated on the night.

Christmas Lotto Draw

The Christmas draw was held in McCarthy’s Bar.  The numbers drawn were 4, 5, 17, 24.  The Jackpot of €2,500 was not won.

Lucky dip winners: €30 to Paul McMahon, Castleisland; €20 each to Clare O Sullivan, Lissycasey, Co. Clare; Donal Murphy, Ashbourne; Tony Nolan, Castleisland and Clare Horan, Killegane.

The club wishes to thank everyone who kindly purchased lotto tickets during the year plus to the members and club officers who sold tickets and to those who organised all of the draws.

The club is now selling the national club draw tickets, the tickets are on sale at €10 and all monies raised stays in the club so your support would be greatly appreciated.
