A special congratulations to our Bobcats U-14 boys team who won their section and the Ballymac men’s team who were victorious in their division. Once again it was a superbly organised event which gave great entertainment for five days over the Christmas period.

Congrats to Handballers Danny and Paddy
The club would like to congratulate Ballymacelligott handballer, Danny Riordan along with his partner, Paddy Donovan from Laois on winning the UL Alumni Doubles Tournament beating Shane Hayes and Darren O’Neill from Clare on the score of: 15-10 and 15-14.

Sympathies to O’Regan and Leen Families

The Club extends its sympathy to the family of the late Peggy O’Regan, Gortatlea on their recent bereavement. Peggy was a staunch supporter of Ballymac GAA Club and rarely missed a game where her sons James, Denis and Thomas were playing.  She was also a great worker on behalf of the club and no job was too big or too small for Peggy to undertake. May she rest in Peace.

The club also extends its sympathy to the family of the late J P Leen, Arabella. JP was a former player for the Club and was part of the Ballymac team who reached the 1962 Senior County Championship Semi Final where they were defeated by a strong North Kerry side.  On their way to this semi final Ballymac defeated Dr. Crokes and South Kerry.  JP also played mid field for Kerry in a Munster Senior Football semi final victory over Tipperary in 1966.  May he rest in peace.

Handball Club Condolences to Leen and Quirke Families

Ballymacelligott Handball Club would like to extend our sympathies to the family of former club player and member of the club’s All Ireland’s winning team in 1975 JP Leen on his untimely death,  also our sympathies extend to John Joe Quirke of Glenbeigh Handball Club and his family on the death of his father.
