Tickets for the forthcoming Strictly Come Dancing event which is on February 11th in Ballygarry House Hotel are now available from the following venues: Glenduff Manor; The Halfway Bar; Ó Riada’s and Castlemeats, Castleisland.

Tickets for this event sold out very quickly in 2016 so to avoid the disappointment of missing out on the social event of the year it is advisable to purchase early.

No Jackpot Winner of Ballymac Lotto at Ó Riada’s

The Ballymacelligott GAA Club Lotto was held in Ó Riada’s on January 9th. for a jackpot of €6,100. There was no jackpot winner. The numbers drawn were 7,9,15,19. Lucky Dip winners were: 1. Venitia Lucid, Ballyegan; 2. Katie and Blake Leen, Chuethall; 4. Martina Reidy, Knockeen and 5. Noreen DeLacey, Edenburn. Sellers Prize : Online. Tributes to Tom Herlihy 

The AGM of Ballymacelligott GAA Club was held in its club rooms on Sunday evening last. In his report, outgoing Secretary Fionnan Fitzgerald gave a comprehensive account of the affairs of the Club in 2016. Treasurer Mike Sweeney went through in detail the Financial report for the year which showed the Club in a healthy position. Tributes were paid to outgoing Chairman Tom Herlihy for his work within the club during his term which included the development of the training field and his hosting of the Bwildered Event. Outgoing Secretary Fionnan Fitzgerald was also praised for his work in the past three years and in particular for his role in the smooth running of Feile within the Club during 2016.

Coiste Na Nog AGM

The AGM of the Coiste na nOg section of Ballymac GAA Club will be held in the cub rooms on Sunday, January 22nd at 4.pm. All welcome to attend. County League Campaign The recent Co. League draw sees us begin our Campaign at home to Dromid Pearses on the weekend of March 19th. A full list of fixtures can be found on the club website www.ballymacgaa.com

Minors in Division 2

Our minors will participate in Division 2 of the minor Co league in 2017. In what promises to be a most competitive league we are grouped with Kerins O’Rahillys, Legion, Beaufort, Scart/Cordal and Templenoe/Tousist/Kilgarvan.
