Ballymac U-14 Girls

On Saturday last the U-14 ladies played St Val’s from Cork in a challenge game in Ballymac . After two weeks of training, it was nice for the girls to have a game to whet the appetite for the season ahead.

St Val’s, a Division 1 team in Cork, started the game brighter and raced into an early lead. By halftime our girls were starting to show signs of improvement.

We kicked off the second half where we left on in the first and dominated with some great scores taken.

In the end the Cork girls ran out winners by three points.

However, the Ballymac girls did more than hold their own. Thanks to the Joanne Long for overseeing the teas and coffees afterwards and the parents who brought some sandwiches and confectionery. Also thanks to our own club chairman Jer Lynch for refereeing the game.
