Currow GAA Club senior team played Rathmore on Saturday in the East Kerry Super League.
Rathmore started the game very quickly with four points in quick succession before Currow got off the mark with two points from John McMahon and one from Padraig O’Shea.
Rathmore then had a goal and two more points to lead by five.
Timmy O’Leary scored a goal and a point before John McMahon levelled the scores with his third point.
Rathmore added a goal and a point on the stroke of half time to lead by four.
The second half scores were harder to come by. John McMahon added a second goal for Currow and Jack Scanlon scored two late points.
The game finished in victory for Rathmore on a scoreline of 3-12 to 2-10.
Club Meeting on Friday Night
A club meeting will be held on Friday night at 8.30pm in the club rooms. All are welcome.
Lotto Draw at Cunniffe’s
The Currow GAA Lotto was held on Sunday at the Cunniffe’s Bar and the jackpot was €2,450. The numbers drawn were 14, 17, 24 and 30. There was no outright winner.
Lucky dip winners of €40 each were as follows: Mary Downey, Barnfield; Breda Cronin, Killarney; Carmel Howard, Kilsarcon; Patrick Lyons, Currans and Billy Nagle, Currow.
The next lotto draw is on March 12th in The Brown Flesk Inn, Currow for a Jackpot of €2,600
