The death has occurred of Lilian Bonn-Hanafin, Ballydwyer and and Gortagullane, Ballymacelligott, Co. Kerry and Yonkers, New York.

Pre-deceased by her father, Brendie Bonn.

Deeply regretted by her loving family: her husband Joe; mother Kitty; sister Kay; brothers Auty and JJ; mother-in-law Eileen; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nephews; nieces; relatives; neighbours and many friends. May She Rest in Peace.

Martin Ferris TD. Tribute

In a tribute to the late Lilian Bonn-Hanafin this morning, Martin Ferris, TD said that Lilian was a great and true Republican in her own, in neighbouring areas and throughout Kerry.

“Lilian was to the forefront of the Republican movement in Kerry with her late dad, Brendie for many years.

“She had exceptional energy at election times and was always there in times of need. My sympathies to her husband, Joe and the Bonn and Hanafin families. May she Rest in Peace,” said Deputy Ferris.

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at her residence at Ballydwyer, Ballymacelligott on Thursday evening from 5pm to 7.30pm.

Arriving at St. Brendan’s Church, Clogher on Friday morning for 11am Requiem Mass followed by burial in Clogher Cemetery.

No flowers by request. Donations in lieu to Recovery Haven; Tralee. Enquiries to McElligott’s Funeral Home; Tralee.
