Our U-16 boys had a 49 to 48 win over Gneeveguilla in their final game of the season which turned out to be a thriller.

The boys had a cracking opening quarter and kept their lead right up to the final few minutes but a strong Gneeveguilla side kept coming back and eventually narrowed the gap to a single point.

While the win was not enough to capture the league as a three point win was needed it does qualify the team for the All Ireland Club Play-offs.

Top scorers for St. Mary’s were: Gary O’Sullivan on 14 points followed by Daniel Kelly on 10 and Joe Sheehy with nine.
