The local branch of the Kerry Hospice Foundation is preparing for the annual Good Friday Hospice Walk.

Committee members have made a change to the route this year. It has been decided to go the popular route of heading out the Cordal road towards Tullig and around the Black Road.

Branch Left at Garvey’s

Walkers will head back towards town but branch off left at Garvey’s SuperValu towards Cahernard and then back in Killarney Road returning to the starting point.

The walk is one of the major fundraisers for the society each year.

Members of the Castleisland branch urge you to come out and walk – or run if you prefer – on April 14th.

Cards are Available

Sponsorship cards are available at Jack Shanahan’s Haven Pharmacy and Philip Horan’s Service Station.

If people would prefer not to seek sponsorship they can give a personal donation on the day.

All funds raised in Kerry for Hospice remain in Kerry and so your contribution will go directly towards the cost of the new in- patient unit which is now well underway at Kerry University Hospital.

Walkers from Neighbouring Parishes Invited

The Good Friday Hospice Walk will leave from the its usual starting point at the old library at the top-of-the-town at 11am sharp on April 14th and will take up just one hour of your time.

Walkers and friends of the Kerry Hospice Foundation from here and neighbouring parishes are being invited to walk together for the charity of which so many speak to highly.
