Castleisland Tidy Towns Committee members are getting involved with the KWD County Clean Up on this Saturday April 8th.

The committee urges all groups in the various areas of the town to come out on Saturday to do a clean up of their areas.

Bags, gloves etc… can be had from Mary Walsh or Sheila Hannon from whom volunteers will also get advice as to where they can leave the bags when finished.

“This is really the start of the working year for all the volunteers,” said Mary Walsh.
“We are making a special appeal to any individuals who want help on the day to meet at the Tralee Road roundabout at 10am. as we really need to get the bypass cleaned.

“It was done by the Kerry County Council workers last week but already the litter is appearing again and now is the time to get on top of it before it gets out of hand,” said Mrs. Walsh.
