Home Game for Currow on Sunday

Currow played Waterville on Saturday evening in Currow in the third round of division two of the county league.

The pitch was in great condition.

Waterville started the better team and scored 1-1. John Buckley scored Currow’s first point from play and added two frees.

Waterville then added a second goal and another point. Currow then scored three from Mike McCarthy and another from John Mc Mahon without reply.

Half time: Currow 0-7 Waterville 2-3

Waterville found it hard to get scores in the second half and Currow had points from John Mc Mahon and Mike McCarthy.

Waterville added two more points. John McMahon pulled Currow level and John Buckley punched over the winning point with time almost up .

Currow were delighted to get the two league points heading into the break for the championship.

Currow play St Mary’s, Caherciveen on Easter Sunday at 2.30pm in Currow in the intermediate championship. Please come along and support the team.

Club Lotto at Cunniffe’s Bar

The lotto was held at Cunniffe’s Bar, Currow on Sunday for a Jackpot of €2,900

The numbers draw were 6, 12, 16 and 21. There was no overall winner.

Winners of the lucky dip were: Mike Foran, Currow; Seamus Brosnan, Glounlea; Brian Daly, Currans; Oonagh Scanlon, Currans and S. Roche.
