Knocknagoshel Women’s Group will hold its ninth annual Carmel Linehan Memorial Run/Walk/Jog later on today, Easter Monday, April 17th.
The event will start at Knocknagoshel Community Centre at 12 noon and finish there – where refreshments will be available afterwards.

Over 55s Club
This year’s event is in aid of the Knocknagoshel Over 55s Club and some of the funds raised will go towards the Diabetes Federation of Ireland.

Entry fee for adults is €10, children €5 and families €20.

“The late Carmel Linehan was a great fundraiser for the Knocknagoshel Women’s Group and, since her untimely death, several deserving charities have been helped as well as raising vital funds for the Knocknagoshel Women’s Group,” said organising group member, Catherine Brosnan.

Appeal for Support
This is the ninth year in which this event will be held. The first was in June 2009 and with a huge turnout of locals and visitors.

The organisers are appealing for a big turnout from the area and beyond to come along and support them and the charities they’re collecting vital funds for.
