On Monday night our U-16 boys travelled to Na Gaeil GAA Club in Tralee to play Ardfert in the final of the Kerry Central League Division 3 final.

Losing on the score of 2-13 to 1-9, the team played against a very strong breeze in the first half and were unlucky to go in at half time lthree points down.

In the second half they upped their game and within 20 minutes they were only a point down. However, Ardfert then hit a purple patch and this saw them score 1-4 without reply from Desmonds.

Our boys never gave up the fight to the end but lost out to a physically stronger team on the night.

There were teams from Cordal, Currow, Ballymacelligott, Scartaglen and Desmonds and it was great to see so many boys and girls having a great night.
