A Message from a Boyhood Friend
I just got an email from the UK from Neil Hickey, a contemporary on Danny’s, and his message spells out the feelings many people who knew Danny would maybe like to share:
“It is with sadness that I hear of the death of Danny ‘Snowball’ McSweeney today. I knew Danny well growing up, and had many a pint with him in Hickey’s Bar and Teddy McCarthy’s over a game of pool or maybe cards. He was a bit of a shark at both! He didn’t have an enemy in the world, and Castleisland is poorer for his loss,” said Neil.
Reposing at Tangney’s Funeral Home, Castleisland, on Saturday evening from 4.30pm to 7pm, followed by removal to Castleisland Parish Church.
Requiem Mass on Sunday at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in St. John’s Cemetery, Castleisland. Donations, if desired, to Palliative Care c/o Tangney’s Funeral Home, Castleisland.
Date Published: Thursday 18th May 2017. Date of Death: Thursday 18th May 2017.
May God be Good to him.
