Tickets are now on Sale at €20 for the Strictly Come Dancing fundraiser set for Saturday June 3rd at Castleisland Community Centre.

They can be purchased at Lynch’s Pharmacy, Lower Main Street and from the Muire Gan Smál Presentation Primary School or from committee members and the dancers themselves.

Lotto at Tom’s

The Desmond’s GAA Club Lotto Draw was held in Tom McCarthy’s Bar on Saturday night. There was no winner of the €2,900 jackpot. The numbers drawn were 2,3,21,27.

Lucky Dip winners were: €30 to Mary Daly, Top Road, Currow. €20 each to Ger Reidy Camp; Elaine O’Connor, Ahaneboy, Castleisland; Joe Geaney, Castleisland; Gina and Michael Reidy, Dulague, Castleisland.

Thanks to all who supported the draw and to those who organised the event on the night.

Boys U-12 Gain League Points

The Desmonds U-12 boys team defeated Gneeveguilla away in the County League on the score of 5-7 to 2-10.

Well done to all of the players and management. They play An Ghaeltacht this Sunday May 28th at home. Throw in at 6.pm.

U-14 Lose to Keel/Listry

The U-14 boys lost out to Keel /Listry last Monday in the semifinal of the County league on the score of 5-12 to 3-12.

The next competition for them is the Central Region League which starts on the Monday, June 19th.

The U-8 Boys had a great night when they travelled to Ballymac with two teams to take part in the GAA Go Games which was hosted by Ballymac. Thanks to all of the parents who attended to support the boys.
