This coming weekend is a big one for the Desmonds Ladies GAA Club as they, in conjunction with Muire Gan Smál Primary School, host Strictly Come Dancing at Castleisland Community Centre on this Saturday night, June 3rd in the Castleisland Community Centre.

There are 26 dancers involved in the event.

Tickets are currently on sale at €20 each from Lynch’s Pharmacy and the school itself plus all of the committee members and the dancers will also have them, so your support would be greatly appreciated.

Winning Start for Tomo Clad U-12s
The U-12 boys got off to winning start with their new sponsored football jerseys, when they defeated An Ghaeltacht on Sunday night last on the score of 5-14 to 4-11 at home in the County League. The club wishes to kindly thank Tomo Burke Electrical and Beko Electrical for sponsoring the new jerseys.
Their next game is on Sunday, June 4th when they travel to play Ballymac. Throw in is set for 6pm.

Best Wishes to Exam Taking Members
The Desmond’s Club wishes everyone doing their Junior and Leaving Cert Exams all of the best which Starts on Wednesday June 7th.

Cordal GAA Club News

The June Lotto

The Lotto Jackpot for June is a cool €2,800. The Lotto Draw will take place on Sunday, June 25th in Kearney’s Bar, Castleisland.

Our Lisa McHugh concert is less than two months away. You can buy tickets from our club officers, at advertised retail sellers and online at www.cordalgaa.com. It’s going to be a night to remember!
Fixtures Cordal v Cromane: Cordal will play Cromane this Sunday, June 4th at 2pm in Cordal.

Cordal Clothes Collection

Cordal GAA Club is appealing to you to donate your clean clothes, pairs of shoes, belts, handbags, curtains and bedlinen.

No duvets or pillows please. This is a continuous collection by our club and all funds raised will help to improve the club’s facilities and contribute to its running costs.

Donations can be dropped off at Jackie Reidy’s Menswear, Main St. Castleisland or at Cordal Community Centre. Thanks to everyone contributing to our collection which allows it to be a continuing success.

Knocknagoshel GAA Club News

Results and Fixtures: Knocknagoshel seniors lost to Duagh on a score of 2-15 to 2-5 in the North Kerry league match played in Knocknagoshel on Saturday evening last. Knocknagoshel play Austin Stacks B on Sunday June 4th at 2p.m. in Willie Walsh Park in the county league. We wish a speedy recovery to John Brosnan who was injured recently. John has been a brilliant defender for the senior team over the past number of years and his presence will be sorely missed.

Well Wishes With Exams

Knocknagoshel GAA Club wishes every success to all our players who are beginning their Leaving and Junior Certificate exams. We wish safe travels to senior team player Michael Walsh who is heading to San Fransisco for the summer.

Lotto Draw at Moynihan’s Bar

The next draw will be for a jackpot of €6,100 and will be held in Moynihan’s Bar on this Saturday June 3rd. Tickets are on sale in the Family Shop, Leahy’s Post Office,The Local Bars and usual sellers. Thank you for your continued support.
