Currow U-14s travelled to Farranfore play to Firies in their first round of the East Kerry League.

On the night the home side was a bit too strong for Currow and went on to win the game on a score line of Firies 5-20 to Currow’s 5-13.

Next for our U-14 team is a trip up to Armagh on this Friday, June 23rd where they will be taking part in the Feile Pel Na nÓg competition.

They will complete in Division 10 where their opponents will be Ballybay Pearses of Monaghan, Lámh Dhearg of Antrim and their host club Derrynoose Blues of Armagh.

Best of luck to the team and their mentors Tone Brosnan, Tim Healy and Con Enright.

Also safe travels to all the Currow supporters making the long journey up the north and hopefully we can recapture the Feile title – which our U-14 team won last year.

Currow Senior GAA Club News

Our seniors lost out to Kenmare on Sunday on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-10 in Division 2 of the county league.

Currow got off to a good start and led 1-4 to no score after 12 minutes. They opened with a goal and a point from Timmy O’Leary and three points from Daniel O Shea.

However, we were unable to keep up that scoring rate and by half time, Kenmare had reeled in Currow to lead 1-7 to 1-6.

Kenmare was the better team in the second half and deserved the victory.
