‘Puppy’ – the thunderstruck eight-year-old has been reunited with his owners through the kindness of Deirdre Cronin with the help of The Maine Valley Post.

He was lucky in his choice of lodgings when he ran from home during the thunderstorm of Tuesday night / Wednesday morning.

The kind hearted, Deirdre Cronin took him in and immediately, fed and photographed him and alerted The Maine Valley Post to his plight.

Puppy – Is Gone Home

Deirdre sent a message this morning that ‘Puppy’ – her eight-year-old canine lodger is gone home to Currow with his delighted owners.

He lodged for the few days in Dromulton but his home is in Rosaneen in Currow a distance estimated by Deirdre to be the best part of 10 miles away.

Thunder Warning

It’s another warning to pet owners, and owners of dogs in particular, that thunder really frightens them and they are well capable of running away and getting disorientated and lost.

Delighted to report the good news this morning and all thanks to Deirdre for her kindness to Puppy in his time of need.

All’s well that ends well Deirdre can now take a well deserved Bow – Wow !
