The second Mike Kenny Remembrance weekend will be held on Friday and Saturday August 11th and 12th 2017.
A full programme of events includes: Friday night at 9:30pm in Browne’s Bar, Jonathan Roche and Friends.
The night will also include the presentation of the Mike Kenny Memorial Cup to the Young Musician of the Year.
Art Workshop
An art workshop for children from six to 12 years of age with Catherine Kate Shanahan will be held on Saturday, August 12th at the Ivy Leaft Art Centre from 11am to 1pm.
Numbers will be limited and you’re advised to contact the organisers (below) to register.
Busking Competition
The busking competition made a great, street wide impression at last year’s event and it’s back on the Saturday afternoon. The competition will get underway at 2pm.
There is some prize money up for grabs and it’s: €150 for the winner/s; €100 for second and €75 for third placed.
Saturday night from 9-30pm an ‘Open Guitar Session’ in Browne’s Bar and all will be welcome to take part or attend.
