Best wishes to Desmond’s Adam Donoghue who is involved with the Kerry minor team to play Louth in the quarter final of the All Ireland championship this coming Saturday, August 5th in Portlaoise. The throw in is at 1:15pm.

Good Luck to Kerry Juniors

The club sends its best wishes to Cordal’s Philip O’Connor; Brosna’s Eamon Kiely and Knocknagoshel’s James Walsh who all play with the Kerry Junior team against Meath in the All Ireland final on Saturday in Portlaoise. Throw in at 3pm.

Gael Force Knocks Desmond’s Ladies Off Course 

Castleisland Desmond’s Senior Ladies were defeated by Southern Gaels. 4-13 0-14 in the county senior final on Sunday in Listry.

Playing with a strong breeze to their backs they went in at half time tied at 0-9 to 1-6.

They were unlucky to have missed out on a couple of goal chances in the first half.

Southern Gaels upped the tempo in the second half and this resulted in them scoring three goals. This was to see them winning the second title back to back.

Hard luck to all of the players and team management. The club wishes also thanks to everyone who attended the game on the day.

U-16 Boys in League Semi Final

The U-16 boys played Glenflesk in the county league on Wednesday evening at home and won the game on the score of 2-16 to 0-12. They now advance to the semi final next week with the opposition, date and venue to be confirmed.

U-12s Missing Key Players

The U-12 boys travelled to Tralee to play Annascaul/Lispole in the final of the Central Region League. Unfortunately they lost on the score of 5-20 to 0-8 with an under strength team and some key players missing.

Hard luck to all of the players and team management on the night.

Minors win Thrilling Game

The Desmond’s minor boys team travelled to play John Mitchel’s in Tralee in the opening round of the Central League on Monday evening. The visitors won on the score of 5-13 to 2-21 in a very trilling and enjoyable game.

U-12 Boys to Play Ballymac

U-12 boys travel to play Ballymac in the county league on Monday, August 7th. Throw in at 7pm.
