School Leavers and adults considering a return to education are invited to an Information Session on Further Education Options Outside of CAO at Kerry College of Further Education (KCFE), Tralee on Wednesday, August 23rd. commencing at 6.30pm sharp.

“The information session will highlight how career goals can be achieved through Level 5 and Level 6 Post Leaving Certificate Courses” said Mary Murphy, PRO for KCFE.

The Value of PLCs

“In particular the focus of the information session will be on the value of PLCs and how courses at KCFE allow school leavers to access high point third level courses at various universities and institutes of technology throughout the country and beyond without having the points score in the traditional leaving cert.

“KCFE also offer a wide range of quality assured programmes which are ideal for those looking to up-skill or retrain as they guide learners directly into employment afterwards.

Vital Contact with Employers

Parents of school leavers are also welcome to attend the information session and it will give them an opportunity to really explore and appreciate the value of Post Leaving Certificate Courses.

Courses in High Demand

“Courses are in high demand so it is important that those considering doing a PLC at the college this September apply online now so as to secure an interview for the end of August.

“The college prospectus can be picked up from the office in Clash, Tralee and applications can be made online to: www.kerryfe.ie,” Ms. Murphy concluded.
